At Neural Grader, our mission is to boost the profitability of the wood industry. We help sawmills and manufacturers transforming lumber to automate their operations but more importantly to increase their revenues making a better use of their wood resources. We see the installation of our equipment as just the first step in our journey to optimise the production of our clients.
Neural Grader was founded by the Nieuwenhuys brothers, entrepreneurs with a unique combination of tech and wood industry expertise. Over the past 25 years, they’ve built successful ventures including AdsWizz, the leading audio adtech platform powering over 1 billion transactions yearly; Fordaq.com, the largest online marketplace for wood products with over 200,000 registered companies worldwide; and Geuther, a heritage brand and leading manufacturer of wooden baby furniture.
As brothers, they understand the values of trust, resilience, and long-term commitment—qualities they share with the family-run businesses they serve. Their deep knowledge of both wood and technology is at the heart of Neural Grader’s innovation.
The company ia proud to have Sampsa Auvinen as its chairman. Sampsa has over 30 years of executive leadership in the forest industry and is a recognized advocate for the continued advancement of the woodworking industry . He has held senior leadership roles at companies such as Norvik Timber Industries and Pölkky Oy, and is currently serving as Chair of the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries (CEI-Bois). He is also Honorary President of the European Organisation of the Sawmill Industry, EOS.
